The Budva Riviera is the tourism centre of Montenegro. The 25km long Riviera, which stretches from Budva to Petrovac, is blessed with beautiful sandy beaches.
Budva is the biggest town on the Riviera and consists of the old fortified settlement on the rocks, the Slovenska Beach hotel complex with hotels, restaurants and bars along the promenade, and the residential area.
The heart of Budva is its' Old town, encircled by century old city walls. The old town of Budva, which is called Stari Grad, is full with cosy little restaurants, bars and shops and it is one of the most charming places on the Riviera. During the day you can make a sightseeing stroll through the narrow streets and visit the Citadel, the fortress built on the rocks from which you have a beautiful view over the sea, and on the other side over the whole Budva area. The churches in the old town are also worth visiting. In the evening the old town is a very vivid place, full of tourists from all over the world.
Because Budva lies centrally on the Montenegrin Adriatic coast it is an ideal destination from which you can make various excursions.
